Illustration

As long as there have been newspapers, books, and magazines, there has been a need for hand-drawn art that tells a story or communicates an idea. Illustrators need to have excellent drawing skills, know the history of their craft, and be proficient with programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
Illustration is one of the five certificate programs offered within the Graphic Design program. Students earn an Illustration Certificate by completing the 36 credit hours of core courses. Students may complete an additional 24 credit hours of General Education and Elective Courses to earn an Associate in Arts degree.
