The Henry Ford Community College Pre-Education Conference held on November 3, 2007 provided nearly 100 participants with information about the career pathway for teachers.
A representative from the Michigan Department of Education attended and representatives from local universities were available to talk with participants throughout the event.
HFCC publicized its programs by offering special sessions about the programs, admissions information, and graduates’ success. Job opportunities, resume and interviewing strategies, and special programs for child development workers were discussed.
Conference participants rate the event as “excellent” and noted that they learned much to help them make decisions about their work to become teachers.
We encourage you to learn more about the teaching career and the pathway to become a teacher. Watch for information about the November 2008 conference!
