Register for HFCC's Winter Semester
10/29/2009
Register now for winter classes at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn. Winter classes begin Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 and end Saturday, May 8, 2010.
HFCC offers more than 100 university transfer and associate degree career education programs as well as classes for professional and personal development. Classes are offered during the day and evening as well as online.
HFCC's tuition rates are $70 per credit hour for residents of the Dearborn School District and $130 per credit hour for non-residents.
HFCC also has a tuition freeze guarantee, a credit transfer guarantee and a job skills guarantee for its graduates. The college guarantees that if tuition increases, a student can apply for a rebate upon graduation and the amount of the tuition increase will be refunded. HFCC also guarantees that a graduate can transfer credits earned with at least a 'C' grade to a four-year university as long as the student follows the university's transfer course guidelines. Finally, employers are guaranteed that an HFCC career education program graduates will have the technical job skills required of an entry-level employee in the graduate's field of study. If not, the graduate will be retrained free of charge for up to 16 credit hours.
HFCC also offers a WayneDirect agreement for students who plan on transferring to Wayne State University, a program with Cleary University and a Bridge Program with the University of Michigan-Dearborn. All three programs help ease the transition for HFCC students transferring to a four-year university and provides students with helpful tools to assist with the transfer process to make sure their credits transfer. Students save money by attending HFCC, which has lower tuition rates, and then transferring to the university.
Students can apply for admission and enroll in classes online at www.hfcc.edu. For more information and a free application packet and winter class schedule, call HFCC's Welcome Center at 1-800-585-HFCC.
