Henry Ford Community College Foundation

You Can Sponsor a Scholarship

Establishing a Henry Ford Community College scholarship would give someone, who would not otherwise have a chance, to begin or continue their education. We offer students an excellent educational opportunity at a one of the area’s lowest college tuition rates, still many of our 25,000 students require financial assistance to fulfill their educational goals. Last year close to 11,000 students applied for financial assistance, but we were unable to meet all of their needs and some had to regrettably put their education on hold.

You can make a tremendous impact on a person’s life by becoming an educational philanthropist with a tax-free gift of $500 or more. You will have the opportunity of establishing the criteria for your scholarship award, your name will be placed on the HFCC Scholarship Donor Wall and you will be listed in all scholarship materials.

Here are some of the ways that you can “Invest in The Futures Market and give someone the chance to realize their dreams.

An Endowed Scholarship

You can honor anyone you wish in an endowed “named scholarship” including a family member, a relative or any individual or group you want to recognize. An endowed scholarship requires a contribution of $10,000 or more and remains in perpetuity. It can be established with a single contribution or it can be made over time. It will be awarded to deserving students upon its total funding.

An Annual Scholarship

An annual scholarship, like a named scholarship, can honor anyone you wish including a family member, a relative, a friend, an individual or a group. An annual scholarship can begin with a contribution of $1,000 or more. The entire amount of an annual scholarship will be awarded each year unless the fund is replenished.

Funding a Scholarship

A scholarship can be established through gifts, trusts, life insurance, real estate and other bequests. The HFCC Foundation will assist you in establishing a scholarship that will provide the most advantageous and beneficial results you desire.

Your Scholarship is Tax Deductible

Contributions to the HFCC Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization, are tax deductible. Michigan residents also qualify for a direct income tax credit. MICS # 7663
