1938 Society
Recognizing the important role of Foundation contributors to the continued success of HFCC and its students...and the importance of these relationships for the future...the Henry Ford Community College Foundation has established The 1938 Society to recognize and thank its donors. Named to commemorate the year of the founding of Fordson Junior College, whose beginnings made possible Henry Ford Community College, The 1938 Society recognizes the important connection that exists between the College’s past, present and future.
All Society members receive an annual membership certificate and are recognized in the Foundation’s newsletter, The HFCC Investor. Gifts may be in the form of cash, real estate and securities, as well as in-kind/non-cash contributions. Gifts/sponsorships toward specific HFCC fund raisers do not apply to 1938 Society membership. Life Membership is bestowed upon donors whose cumulative giving totals $25,000 or more.
Giving opportunities through The 1938 Society includes:
The Henry Ford Legacy Circle
Individuals, who provide for Henry Ford Community College in their will via a bequest, or through a planned gift such as a trust or annuity agreement, are recognized for their foresight, careful planning and stewardship with membership in The Henry Ford Legacy Circle. The Legacy Circle is named in memory of industrial pioneer Henry Ford, whose establishment of the Henry Ford Trade School, and other Ford Motor educational institutions such as the Ford Apprentice School and Ford Service School, are forever linked to Henry Ford Community College. Members and their guests are invited to the “Benefactor Banquet” each fall to be recognized and thanked for their generous intentions.
The President’s Society
Membership in The President’s Society is awarded for annual gifts totaling $1,000 or more to the Foundation. President’s Society members and their guests also are invited to the ‘Benefactor Banquet’ where they are personally recognized for their generous support.
The Freshman Class
Recognizing that new donors, just as entering freshmen, represent the future of an educational community, the Foundation established. The Freshman Class to thank this special group of new College contributors. Annual membership is presented in recognition of annual giving totaling $250 - $999.
