The 2008 Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) Benefactor Banquet was held on October 18 in the 5101 Restaurant on the main Evergreen campus. Nearly 100 members of The 1938 Society, the College's major donor giving club, attended the event, as well as board members of the College and the HFCC Foundation. "The Banquet is a wonderful opportunity to thank our Society members for the generous support they provide the College each year," said John Lewandowski, Executive Director of the Foundation. "Their ongoing charitable support is important in the College' s efforts to provide the best educational experience for our students."
Following a delicious Polish-themed dinner prepared and served by Chefs and students of the College's hospitality program, attendees made the short walk through campus to the Athletic Memorial Building for dessert and to enjoy a practice session of the HFCC Hawks' men's varsity basketball team. "The featured program for this year's Banquet was Hawks' Athletics and donors and their guests enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the HFCC athletic program and to see some of the College's student athletes in action," Lewandowski added.
