HFCC's Fifty-One O One Restaurant Open

Location: Fifty-One O One Restaurant, 5101 Evergreen Road in Dearborn
Henry Ford Community College’s Fifty-One O One restaurant is now open for business for the fall semester.
The restaurant, operated by the staff and students of HFCC’s Hospitality Studies Program, is located in the Student & Culinary Arts Center on HFCC’s main campus at 5101 Evergreen Road in Dearborn. Fifty-One O One is open for lunch Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and also serves dinner on Wednesdays.
To dine at Fifty-One O One, reservations are recommended. Lunch seating is at 11 a.m and 12:15 p.m. Wednesday dinner service is at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. For reservations, please call (313) 206-5101.
Fifty-One O One’s traditional favorites will be on the menu, including apple jack chicken breast, filet mignon, seafood fettuccini, grilled chicken fettuccini, and a soup and salad bar selection. The restaurant also will offer its newest menu item, the Asian sizzling shrimp salad.
Fifty-One O One will have weekly specials that will highlight a different country or regional American specialities. The week of Sept. 28 will offer premium steak house foods; Oct. 5 will offer game and cuisine of the Midwest; and during the week of Oct. 12 the restaurant will serve German and Central European foods. Other themes throughout the semester include the cuisine of California and Hawaii, France, the Deep South, Northern Italy, New England, the American Southwest and the Pacific Northwest.
Highlights during the fall semester include Oktoberfest, which will be held Wednesday, Oct 14. Oktoberfest includes lunch and dinner buffets that feature traditional German foods. Cost is $12 per person. For reservations, please call 313-206-5101.
'Fifty-One O One features a fresh, innovative approach to dining,' says Eric Gackenbach, Hospitality Studies Program director. 'We make all our entrees from the freshest ingredients, from the meat and poultry to the homemade sauces, all with an emphasis on fine dining.'
Gackenbach believes that the elegant place settings and wood-trimmed decor of the Fifty-One O One make for an enjoyable dining experience at an affordable price.
