Events and Announcements

Public Meetings - Join Council for Lunch!

Student Council will hold two more public meetings this semester. Both will take place on Wednesdays at noon - the first on March 25 and the second on April 22. Please come receive complimentary merchandise and enjoy a pizza lunch - free of charge, supplied by your Student Council - while voicing your opinions on our College campus and what could make it better.

Alternative Energy Summit

Along with HFCC's executive-level administration and the Student Environmental Association, Student Council would like to thank all those who parcipated and made this immensely important program on developing sustainable alternatives to traditional energy and manufacturing sources such a great success. Overall attendance numbered near 400 and WWJ News Radio's own Matt Roush was in attendance. On February 9, the technology correspondant featured stories on the Summit both in his live radio broadcast and in his on-line Great Lakes IT Report.

Meanwhile, one event in our month-long sustainability and alternative energy program still remains:

  • Tuesday, March 3 - Lourdes Lore/ "The Environmental Crisis on your Plate" 2:10 - 4:00 PM in L-14

Please join Ms. Lore for what promises to be a riveting conclusion to this year's Sustainability Group public offerings.
