Attention: RNs and LPNs

Under Michigan law, all RNs and LPNs are required to complete 25 continuing education contact hours during the two years preceding application for license renewal. The Center for Lifelong Learning now offers classes approved for nursing contact hours to help meet this requirement. To receive the number of contact hours listed in a course description, you must attend ALL sessions of the class.

One nursing contact hour represents 1 hour of instruction with a 10-min break. All nursing contact hours offered by the Center of Lifelong Learning are approved by the Nursing Division of Henry Ford Community College. This division is accredited by the Michigan Board of Nursing and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The division is allowed to provide nursing contact hours for the Michigan Board of Nursing.
