Academic Advising and Counseling

The staff of the University Transfer, Advising and Career Counseling Center can assist you with selecting a career path and planning the courses necessary to complete your educational goals. Whether your goal is to transfer to a university or complete a program that will prepare you to enter the workforce immediately, HFCC's licensed professional counselors can help you.

Counselors are also available to assist you with study skills and time management, coping with change and stress/anxiety reduction and provide you with assistance during career and life transitions.

Assessment and Course Placement

Course Placement is an assessment test designed to identify your skills in math, reading and writing.  You and your counselor will review your results when selecting an appropriate course load and proper starting point for your math and English classes.

Assisted Learning Services

The Assisted Learning Services Department assists physically challenged, learning disabled, or academically disadvantaged students in overcoming barriers to education. The department also provides tutoring services to all students.

Campus Safety

The Office of Campus Safety provides 24 hour/day security, 365 days per year. Security services include patrol operations, first aid response, vehicle jump starts, incident and accident report writing as well as parking enforcement and security escorts.

Career Resource Center

The Career Resource Center is located in the University Transfer, Advising and Career Counseling Center. Whether you're making your first career decision or changing your career direction, you're invited to visit the CRC and work with a professional counselor to locate information, take a career assessment, or clarify your career goals.

Child Development Center

Learn about the Child Development Center located on HFCC's campus. State-licensed, quality care for children from 2 ½ to 12 years of age and toilet learned. Child care is available Monday through Friday, for children of HFCC students, staff and the community.

College Store

The HFCC College Store is your place for official Henry Ford Community College textbooks, gear and supplies. Buy or sell used and new textbooks, find official Henry Ford Community College gear, and purchase software and gifts.

Student Fitness Center

Free for HFCC students.

Focus on Women

Provides counseling, support services, financial assistance and seminars for prospective students who have concerns about entering/re-entering college. Special assistance is available to those thinking about pursuing nontraditional careers-such as men in health careers, or women interested in architectural construction or electronics.

Job Placement Office

The Job Placement Office assists employers, enrolled students, recent graduates, alumni and HFCC faculty and staff. Find information on resume and cover letter writing, preparing for an interview and job postings.

Learning Lab

The Learning Lab provides reading, writing and math support for HFCC students. Find information on the staff, hours, and resources available.
