Your Steps For Success

  1. Speak with Your High School Counselor

    Discuss with your high school counselor which classes best meet your needs.

  2. Complete the Application

    Print and Complete the Dual Enrollment/Advancement Plus Application. Be sure to get all applicable signatures for each class (parent, counselor and principal).

  3. Return the Completed Application

    Return the completed Dual Enrollment/Advancement Plus application, in person, to the Admissions, Records and Registration Office in the lower level of the Learning Resources Center (LRC), by fax at 313-845-6464, or by mail at:

  4. Pay for Classes

    Our EZ Pay Program is a great way to help pay for tuition at HFCC.

What is Advancement Plus?

  • Advancement Plus is a program in which public, private, or home-schooled students may take college courses that are paid for by the student's parent/guardian.
  • Home-schooled students must get the approval of the HFCC Counseling Director, Diane Green, before he or she can be considered for Advancement Plus. Please contact him at 313-845-9611.
