WHFR 89.3 FM is HFCC's independent, non-commercial broadcast radio station. 

The station provides real-world telecommunication lab experience for HFCC students, serves the needs of Dearborn and the surrounding communities, and assists with HFCC college relations.

WHFR programing includes a wide variety of music little-heard elsewhere on Detroit area radio stations, including:

• Alternative/Modern Rock
• Big Band
• Blues
• Hip Hop
• Jazz
• Space Rock
• Urban
• World Music

All music shows highlight new releases, independent labels and local artists.

A weekly public affairs talk show is also produced.
