How to Apply for Part-time (Adjunct) Positions Online
Applicants interested in applying for a part-time (adjunct) position at Henry Ford Community College should submit an application online via the College web page (http:/jobs.hfcc.edu). No paper applications or resumes will be accepted for part-time (adjunct) positions. Upon completion of your online application you will receive an e-mail verifying completion of your online application. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A POSITION, APPLICANTS MUST APPLY TO A SPECIFIC ONLINE POSTING.
Although the posting may indicate "OPEN", a position may not be available at the present time. Please check the http://www.hfcc.edu (HFCC Jobs/Human Resources) web page on a frequent basis for open positions.
Please understand that typically part-time (adjunct) positions begin in August, January, May, and June of each school year. Although there may not be an opening at the current time, all adjunct positions will be posted. This posting system will be used as a way to search applications and direct your application to the appropriate department, it does not necessarily mean that there is an open position.
Computers are available at all public libraries and the College library for those who do not have computer or internet access. After accessing the College’s online application, you will be asked to create an account that will require a user name and password. Once an account has been created, you will be assigned an application number, which you should note for further reference.
You do not need to complete your entire application at once; however, you must at least create an account for your online application to be saved in our database. Each time you complete a section of the application, you will need to click on the “Save” button for that section of the application. You will not be considered for employment unless your application is complete. Official copies of all academic transcripts will be required upon hire.
If you do not complete your entire application at once, you will need to return to this website, log-in and go to the section to be updated or completed and save upon completion. You will need your user name and password to access and edit your application.
Updating and Editing Applications
It is important for your application to be up-to-date at all times. Please be sure that we always have your correct mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number(s). Equally important are name changes, additional degrees, new employers, etc. Editing an online application requires you to access http://jobs.hfcc.edu, log into your account and then click on section(s) you wish to edit. Upon completing your changes, click on the “Save” button, and your changes will be saved.
E-mail Addresses and Telephone Numbers
Making sure that your e-mail address and/or telephone number(s) are correct is essential. There may be a time when a position needs to be filled quickly and we may need to contact you to determine your availability and interest in the position.
Application Expiration
We will maintain your application for one calendar year. If you do not edit your application or add a Job Code to the application for one year, your application will be deleted from our database. Each time you edit your application or add a new job Code, the one year period begins anew. If your application has been deleted from our database at the end of one year, you will need to complete a new application to be considered for employment. If you no longer wish to be considered for employment with the College, please let us know to delete your online application from our database.
Supporting Documents
