Create Decadent Gourmet Caramel Apples Class Supply List
(Note: Good news! You'll have enough leftover chocolates and toppings after class to make even more gourmet apples (and homemade chocolate candy too!) at home - all you'll need to pick up at the store will be more apples and caramel) Please bring to class:
Five medium size apples - any variety you like (please wash and dry them before coming to class) One cup of M&Ms candy - regular or 'mini' size (These items are all in the baking supplies aisle - usually next to each other - you can bring as many of these as you like): One package of Heath toffee or butter brickle bits One package of milk chocolate (or semi-sweet) chocolate chips One package of peanut butter chips Optional: One cup of any chopped/sliced nuts you like (i.e., peanuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds. You can also bring more than one kind of nut if you want to). (These items are available at your local Michael's or Jo-Ann "e.t.c" craft store in their cake decorating/candymaking supplies aisle): Wilton Candy Melts - purchase one bag each of these four flavors:
Light Cocoa, Dark Cocoa, White, and Peanut Butter
Purchase caramel and apple holder sticks in class for $3.50.
Additional supplies to bring from home: Half roll each of wax paper, saran wrap, paper towel, six microwave safe cereal/soup size bowls (paper bowls are okay to bring), one regular dinner knife (a plastic knife is okay to bring), eight regular teaspoons (the ones we eat with - not 'measuring' teaspoons - plastic spoons are okay to bring), scissors, three wet dishcloths (store them in a baggie), a tray or container large enough to carry your finished apples home in, and pen and paper for notes. If you have any decorating toppings in your kitchen cupboard (colored sugars, sprinkles/jimmies, etc.), you can bring them if you'd like to.
